Hi there! I'm Rita and I'm an Austin, Texas wedding and portrait photographer. And I *really* love what I do! I believe life is to be celebrated and our memories of those times, cherished forever. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people who feel the exact same way. People who allow me to be part of their family, if even for just one day, to share their own special celebrations. A wedding. A child's first birthday. Annual family portraits. The important times you want to archive forever.

My goal as a photographer is to capture you. The *real* you. That spark of life, love, emotion, authenticity, and beauty found within each of us. That's right. I think you're beautiful. And I won't have you argue with me that you're not! When you're in front of my camera, I want you to be silly, be bold, be sassy, and above all, be real. You'll never hear me say "say cheese." You will hear me say "Nice! I love it! You're gorgeous!" A lot. And I mean it every single time.

Baca Family Portraits {Austin Family Photographer}

This week Nicole and I had the pleasure of meeting the Baca family. They were having a family reunion in Austin and decided to take the opportunity to get some family photos taken with us. After cupcakes at Austin’s famous Hey Cupcake trailer, the whole crew met us at Mayfield Park. After dodging peacock filled trees, we spent the next hour wondering around the park laughing and snapping away. The one thing I really love about this family is that you can instantly see how they genuinely like to smile and have fun together. They even got my silly Austin Power and Adam Sandler references, which says a lot about their personalities. And I totally I loved it!!

Introducing Baby Benson {Austin Newborn Photographer}

I’m happy and honored to introduce Benson. He’s the newest addition (and most handsome – sorry Jess, just saying it like it is) to my friends Mary and Jess incredibly lovely family. I did Mary’s maternity portraits a while back and it was obvious then that Benson’s birth was a much anticipated gift to the whole family. Benson is the first boy in the the bunch, with two adoring (and adorable) older sisters. As expected, the session took a little longer than a normal shoot but it was worth every second. I am so grateful to Mary and Jess for allowing me to come into their home just a few weeks after Benson was born to capture some newborn shots of him for them. WELCOME BENSON!! :)
